Datasheet
The "AWG" stands for American Wire Gauge and represents the diameter of the copper conductors inside the Cat6 cable. A 23AWG Cat6 cable has larger diameter conductors compared to a 24AWG cable, resulting in lower resistance and better performance.
A 1000ft Cat6 cable is a bulk Ethernet cable that comes in a continuous length of 1000 feet (approximately 305 meters). These longer lengths are commonly used for large-scale network installations, such as in commercial buildings, data centers, and campuses.
The primary advantage of a 1000ft Cat6 cable is that it allows you to cut custom-length cables for your specific installation needs, reducing waste and ensuring a clean, organized network setup. It's cost-effective for extensive installations.
A 1000ft Cat6 cable supports data transmission speeds of up to 10 gigabits per second (Gbps) over short distances (typically up to 55 meters or 180 feet) when properly terminated and used with compatible networking equipment.
Cat6 UTP cable is a type of Ethernet cable designed for high-speed data transmission. It consists of four pairs of twisted copper wires and is unshielded.
