An In-Line PoE (Power over Ethernet) Surge Protector is a specialized device designed to protect PoE-enabled equipment and Ethernet networks from voltage spikes, power surges, and transient electrical disturbances.
Surge protection is important for PoE networks because voltage spikes and surges can cause significant damage to PoE-enabled devices. Protecting these devices helps maintain network reliability, reduces downtime, and prevents costly equipment replacements.
An In-Line PoE Surge Protector is typically installed between the PoE switch or injector and the PoE-enabled device. It acts as a barrier, diverting surges before they reach the connected equipment.
An In-Line PoE Surge Protector can protect against various types of surges, including lightning-induced surges, power grid fluctuations, and transient voltage spikes caused by nearby equipment.
