Datasheet
A digital insulation tester (1000V) is an electronic instrument used to measure the electrical insulation resistance of various electrical systems, cables, and equipment. It operates at a test voltage of 1000 volts, allowing it to evaluate the insulation condition of high-voltage components effectively.
Digital insulation testers apply a high test voltage to the electrical component under examination and measure the resistance of the insulation. The instrument displays the insulation resistance value on a digital screen, providing a clear and accurate reading of the component's insulation condition.
Digital insulation testers (1000V) come with various features, including a high test voltage range, multiple test voltage settings, an easy-to-read digital display, and insulation resistance measurements in megaohms. Some models may also have built-in memory for data storage and Bluetooth connectivity for data transfer.
Digital insulation testers (1000V) are widely used in electrical maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting tasks. They assess the insulation integrity of motors, transformers, generators, cables, switches, and other electrical equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
Yes, digital insulation testers are designed with safety features to protect users from electrical hazards during testing. They often have a safety lockout mechanism, inhibit testing in the presence of live voltage, and provide overvoltage protection to prevent accidental electrical contact.
While designed for high-voltage applications, digital insulation testers (1000V) can also test low-voltage systems and equipment. Use the appropriate test voltage setting for accurate readings on low-voltage components.
Insulation resistance readings are displayed in megaohms (MΩ). Higher values indicate better insulation integrity, while lower values may suggest potential insulation breakdown or degradation.
Yes, like all measuring instruments, digital insulation testers require periodic calibration for accuracy and reliability. Manufacturers recommend regular calibration intervals.
Digital insulation testers indicate if insulation resistance is within an acceptable range but do not identify specific insulation faults. Detailed fault diagnostics may require additional testing methods and equipment.
Yes, many digital insulation testers are suitable for testing both AC and DC systems. Check the model's specifications for compatibility with the systems you intend to test.
